Safe Drinking Water Levels At Gregori

We are pleased to share an update regarding safe drinking water levels at Gregori High School.

As we previously communicated, routine water testing conducted in June identified elevated lead levels in several sink faucets on campus. As a precaution, Modesto City Schools took drinking fountains out of service, provided bottled water, and worked with regulatory agencies to conduct additional testing to address the identified concerns.

We have now received the results of the most recent testing, conducted on July 29, 2026. The results met water quality standards and were below the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s action level for lead in drinking water.

Based on these latest results, the previously identified concerns have been resolved. The existing notice on campus was removed.

We appreciate the patience and understanding of our students, families, and staff throughout this process. The health and safety of our school community remain our highest priority, and the district will continue to follow all required water quality monitoring protocols.
