Grading
Instructors assign all grades. Each student receives a syllabus at the beginning of the year with teacher's grading policies. Please contact individual teachers if you would like to get a copy of the grading policy for their course.
There are two systems that we use to report grades:
Powerschool is where grades are posted at each grading period. These are the grades that will end up on official transcripts.
Schoology is a learning management system that is used by teachers to assign, collect and grade student work. Individual assignments can be accessed, reviewed and verified though Schoology.
MCS parents can create accounts for both PowerSchool (grades and attendance) and Schoology (learning management system). Accounts for these two resources requires special access information that can be obtained using the new MCS Parent Account Lookup (PAL) App.
