Cap and Gown Info:

We would like to have our Cap and Gown distribution for Seniors so they can use this for their pictures and videos.  Our distribution day will be Monday, May 11th.  In order to do this as safely and efficiently as possible we ask that you arrive by your scheduled time based on your last name.

  • Last Name starting with A-C will be from 9-10 am

  • Last Name starting with D-K will be from 10-11 am

  • Last Name starting with L-Q will be from 11-12 am

  • Last Name starting with R-Z will be from 12-1 pm

If you did not order a cap and gown and you still would like to order one, you can visit Jostens.com and order by Friday, May 8th.  If you are unable to order by then, we will have them available for purchase on Monday, May 11th.  Additionally, if you wish not to order, we will have loaners available on Monday.  In order to be efficient with the distribution we ask that if you already ordered to enter the parking lot from the stop light and stay in the right lane to be assisted.  If you are borrowing a cap and gown or purchasing on Monday, we ask that you enter using the left lane. Stay in the left lane and enter the parking lot following directions from a staff member.  They will then assist you in process of borrowing.  Please ensure not to park next to another vehicle, leave an empty space in between each vehicle.

Virtual Graduation

“While we wait for the social distancing health guidelines to be modified or lifted so we can try to have in-person graduation ceremonies this summer, we are excited to announce that we will be holding virtual ceremonies on the original graduation ceremony dates and times that were planned earlier this year, so we would like you to save the date of Thursday, May 28th at 7 pm as this will be our live broadcast of our virtual graduation.

**NOTE: A virtual graduation DOES NOT mean we won’t have an in-person graduation later this summer. If social distancing restrictions are lifted within the next couple of months in order to safely allow for hundreds of people to attend an event, we will do everything possible to give have an in-person graduation ceremony.

For our graduation ceremony we have contracted with a production company.  Rt Productions will be facilitating the production of our virtual ceremony for the class of 2020. They have been producing graduation videos since 2001.  They have created a student portal that students will receive a link for, both via email and text message. When students click on that link they will have the ability to set a password and add upload information that will be used in the production. They will ask the student to make a few videos and upload them, each videos will have a demonstration/example of what the videos are to look like. Students will be asked a series of questions that will be used to create their personal name plaque. They will also record the phonetic pronunciation as their announcer will create a voice over for the production. Each portion of the student portal will need to be completed by the deadline they provide to the student. If you have any technical issues or questions they have a team of GradPROs that will help you out via their 888.729.8199 number or modestocityschools@gradpro.io

Seniors please check your email for the link sent out by the production company.

Senior Clearance Information

Senior Clearance Check-Out day on Tuesday, May 12th and Wednesday, May 13th.  In order to maintain social distancing and complete this as efficiently and safely as possible we will schedule a time based on last name.  It is imperative that you arrive during your scheduled time. If you are unable to make it, we will have a make-up days later in May.  Students must complete the End-of-year process in order to participate in our graduation ceremony.  Students will receive their appointment day and time by their school email.

We know this is not an ideal situation and has been an emotional event.  We realize there are several events and traditions that Seniors are not able to attend and participate.  We are working hard to be able to honor our hard-working JAGS and celebrate their accomplishments in the coming days.  I look forward to seeing you soon.

Go JAGS!”
